Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust website (www.sth.nhs.uk).
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. The website has ReciteMe screenreader software that enables users to:
• Have most of the website content read out loud, including PDF documents
• Change the font type and size
• Magnify the text
• Change the colour theme
• Change the language
There is a button to enable the screenreader at the top of each page.
There are also quick link buttons to change the font size, and to translate pages from English into Arabic, Farsi, Slovak, Polish and Chinese simplified.
There is a sitemap to help navigate the website.
You can use the browser settings to change the text size, zoom in and change the language or have text read out loud.

• The site is not optimised for mobile and small screens

• There are images of text, including on the home page banner
• On the ‘Finding Us’ page images of hospitals do not describe where the links go if using screenreader software. There is a text alternative of the links which is accessible to screenreaders.

• The website is not easy to navigate using only a keyboard
• Some old PDFs are not fully accessible to screenreader software
• Some videos do not have captions
